Leading metal roll forming machinery manufacturer primed for international growth
Broomfield, Colo., March 5, 2007 – With 50 years’ experience in innovative design, production and customer service of on-site and in-plant metal roll forming equipment, Knudson Mfg., Inc. introduces the newest member of its product family designed for international markets, the KD-125M metric framing machine.
“Facing increasing demand from European, Central American and South American customers, our engineering team set out to develop a true metric dimension component machine,” said Patrick Flood, Knudson Mfg., Inc. general manager. “With the completion of our first metric profile machine, we are primed for international expansion and have additional metric framing machines in the works.”
The KD-125M FRAMEMAKER features Knudson’s performance specifications of the KD-125 FRAMEMAKER and KD-625 FRAMEMAKER imperial dimension drywall stud machines and can produce metric dimension punch tooling in nearly any size. Metric dimension coil handling accessories are also under consideration to accompany the machines.
“For a Brazilian customer, buying an imperial dimension machine for construction components would be like an American buying a right-hand drive car from Europe – you can get it to work, but it is awkward,” said Cherie Flagg, director of Metal Construction Technologies Company, one of Knudson’s top distributors. “As a distributor to the Latin American market, I am thrilled I can now cater to my customers’ demand for metric dimension machines.”
Knudson’s tradition of design innovation, quality production and legendary customer service began in 1957 when Knudson’s co-founder Arthur Knudson built what is believed to be the first on-site gutter-forming machine in his basement. For the last fifty years, Knudson has consistently raised the bar for industry standards in the invention, production and service of roll forming machines.
The KD-125M, now available worldwide, is backed by the same Knudson service that accompanies all of the company’s machines, including technical support for the life of the machine.
